ANNOUNCEMENT
INTRO
Together: Good morning, Cagayan State University!
Micah: Each of the 9 campuses of CSU is eager to showcase its strength and prowess to the
different literary events for today. Each campus aims to be the best among the best.
Ridge: I am so excited to know what campus will be declared to have the strongest, the swiftest,
and the most creative warriors from the 9 campuses of CSU. I believe that our contenders are all
competent and knowledgeable that’s why they were chosen to represent their campus. But there
can only be one winner.
Micah: Bearing the theme “Thriving in the New Normal through Sports, Culture and the Arts…

Ridge: I am Ridge Justine Tacas,
Micah: And I am Micah Valera,
Together: And we will be your host for the Literary Competition English Category.
Ridge: Here are the Criteria for Judging the different contested activities. For Essay Writing…
Micah: For Extemporaneous Speech…
Ridge: For Story Telling…
Micah: This will not be called a competition without the skillful, knowledgeable and equally
competent Board of Judges. So, let us meet our Board of Judges for today’s event.
Ridge: Our First Judge is:
 A graduate of Bachelor of Secondary Education in Communication Arts major in English
and with Physical Education, Health and Music as her minor.
 She is a Head Teacher 3 and is In-charge of Senior High School Department at Santa
Teresita National High School. The School Paper Adviser of the Theresian and a winning
coach in Feature Writing and Photojournalism and Speech Choir.

: Ladies and Gentlemen, Please Welcome, Mrs. Jocelyn P. Mari.

Micah: Our second judge is;
 A Magna Cum Laude graduate of Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English
 A campus journalist
  Took Master of Arts in Education Major in Educational Management at Lyceum of
Aparri, And earned 24 units in Master in Education Major in English at CSU Aparri.
 She is currently a Senior Highschool Teacher 3 in English and Research Subjects at Santa
Teresita National Highschool
 She is a District Radio-Based Instruction Coordinator for Secondary School since 2020
 A Division Script Writer for RBI Learning Episodes in School Division of Cagayan
 A Project Proponent to Project RASH (Radyo Aralan Sa Himpapawid (District Project)
since 2021 up to present.
 She is also the winning coach of Senior Highschool Students in STNHS in different
contested activities like; Extemporaneous Speaking Contest, Impromptu Speaking
Contest, Quiz Bowl, Tourism Quiz Bowl, Tourism Quiz Bee, PopDev Quizbee, Essay
Writing Contests, and Spoken Poetry Contests.

Ridge: The Chairperson of the Board of Judges is;
 A graduate of Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English at Saint Paul
University Tuguegarao in1994
 She taught at St. Joseph School in Sakon Nakhon, Thailand from 1994-1996 as an
English language teacher.
 She is currently a Master Teacher 1 at Santa Teresita National Highschool.
 She is also a coach in literary competitions at school, district, and congressional levels,
