Topic: Willingness to carry on as a student despite the challenges

People always ask me, “What motivates me in school? We all want a nice life in the future
so we study to have the life that we desire. We have faced many challenges in school, most of
them were hard, but if we are willing to do something we really want we go for it. Nothing should
stop us from reaching our dreams.
I have faced many challenges in my life, inside and outside the school, but I carried on
because there was once a time that I saw a college student. She didn’t look like she had a lot of
money and I can tell she was struggling. I saw her waiting for a ride, holding a bundle of books in
her arms, yet somehow, she still has an urge to carry on. Seeing that person inspired me and thought
if she can do it, I’m sure I can do it too. The first thing that comes to our mind before or after
finishing school, is look after the people who looked after us. We want them to have a comfortable
life, and repay them for all their hard work. We are also willing to continue for our future, our
future family, those usually are the things that motivates us to study but what motivates me? After
I graduate, I want to travel to see the world beyond its limits. I want to help the people in need. I
want to repay my parents and my siblings looking out for me. I want to thank the people who
helped me with my journey. I want to enjoy life while I still can.
I remember those things to motivate myself and think about my future. What I want to do,
what I want to have. Yes, all have our hard times but we weren’t the only ones. Someone out there
is facing more difficult problems. Some couldn’t even go to school due to their problems, so that
is why I’m willing to continue because I think about how lucky I am. I know I’m motivated by a
good cause. Sometimes I wonder what would happen if I would become unsuccessful. What should
I do, but I thought to myself “no”, that I can do this and I’m sure I will reach what I’m reaching
and I know that the Lord is with me no matter what trial I face. Whenever I’m in my hard times, I
think about the Lord and I pray, asking for help but also thank Him for helping me reach where I
am today.
