The Accountancy, Business and Management Strand (ABM) is a strand that aims to
develop the next generation of business leaders. College programs with a business focus are
made possible by the ABM strand. This strand is usually focused on the basic accounting
management, business management, concepts of financial management, corporate operations and
all the things related to business. This strand is mostly designed to give students the numeracy
and managerial skills they need to meet the competencies and requirements of internationally
competitive entrepreneurship.

I chose the ABM strand since this relates to my future course in college. Though this
strand isn’t easy as they say, I want to challenge myself on the business-related matters as early
as now. This strand will give me basic knowledge on what I will encounter in my degree to
pursue in college. I know that this strand will help me build foundation on what I am going to
pursue in the future.

I have decided that Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA) is the course I’m planning
to take up in college. This program has been my ideal course since I was in 7th grade. This course
is a four-year curriculum which provides general accounting education for those students who
want to pursue a professional career in accounting, particularly as public accountants for the civil
service.

In ten years, I see myself as a strong, independent and financially stable woman with a
happy and contented life with my family and friends around me. I see myself as a Certified
Public Accountant (CPA) 10 years from now which is planning to take law school to have that
‘Atty.’ before my name. I see myself as a woman who travels a lot in different places around the
world fulfilling the promises and dreams of her inner child. A woman who prioritizes her peace
above everything else, who isn’t scared to stand for herself, a woman that is still striving to be
better each day and a woman who is not afraid of the possible challenges she may encounter to
learn new lessons in life.
