Piecing Instructions
Use ¼” seams and press as arrows indicate throughout.

Divide your Fabric A strips into forty-five dark strips (A1)

and thirty light strips (A2).

Check Block
Assemble three dark Fabric A1 strips and two light
Fabric A2 strips, alternating dark and light.
Check Strip Set should measure 10 ½” x 42”.
Make fifteen.

Two Merrily Jelly Rolls® or seventy-five
2 ½” x width of fabric strips (Fabric A)
1 1/8 yards background fabric (48213-12)
1 1/8 yards accent fabric (48213-23)
3/4 yard binding (48214-23)
4 yards backing (48212-15)
Make fifteen.
Cutting
Folding the Check Strip in half lengthwise, finger
press a crease in the center of the Check Strip Set.
Cut background fabric into:
30 - 6 ½” squares (Fabric B) Using the Creative Grids 6 1/2” Quilting Ruler, align the
center of the ruler with the crease.
Cut accent fabric into:
30 - 6 ½” squares (Fabric C) Subcut each Check Strip Set into four Check Blocks.

Cut binding fabric into: Check Block should measure 6 ½” x 6 ½”.

8 - 2 ½” x width of fabric strips (Fabric D) Make sixty.

Check Rows Quilt Center
Assemble five Check Blocks and five Fabric B squares. Assemble the Quilt Center.
Background Check Row should measure 6 ½” x 60 1/2”. Quilt Center should measure 60 ½” x 72 ½”.
Make six.

Accent Check Row should measure 6 ½” x 60 1/2”.

Finishing
Piece the Fabric D strips end to end for binding.
Quilt and bind as desired.
