Gosh Sargsyan is the head of the department of Culture and Tourism in Yerevan, Armenia. He was born in 1983 and graduated from the Armenian State Pedagogical University in 2004 with a degree in film directing and teaching. Since then he has worked in theater, directing over 60 performances, and has held roles within the Yerevan Municipality Department of Culture. He is currently the head of the Department of Culture in Yerevan.

1989 entered Yerevan secondary school after S. Sahakyan. 1999-finished Yerevan college N2 1999-2004-entered and graduated from Armenian State Pedagogical University after Kh.Abovyan, Faculty of Culture, Department of “Directing of mass events” with the qualification of film director, teacher. 2004-2007-entered and post-graduated with honours the post-graduation course “Directing of mass events” of the Faculty of Culture of Armenian State Pedagogical University after Kh. Abovyan. 2007-got PhD in Pedagogical sciences. 2000 –founded the student theater-studio “Yerkir”. 2007-2013 –worked at Yerevan Municipality Department of Culture, Tourism and Youth Affairs as an assistant to the head of the Department and chief specialist. Since 2007 has been teaching at the department of “Directing” of the Faculty of Culture of Armenian State Pedagogical University after Kh. Abovyan, led about 40 Master theses. 2013-was appointed assistant of Yerevan Deputy Mayor. 2010 founded student theatrical laboratory “Duet”. 2012- founded children and youth theatrical studio “Artist”. In the period from 1999 to 2017 staged more than 60 performances (operas, musicals, dramas, children and youth and other performances). Since 2018 has been a member of the Union of Theater Figures of Armenia. Since 2000 has been taking part in a number of republican and international theatrical festivals, got awards. For the contribution to the drama art, for many years of devoted work has been awarded with honorary and thanksgiving diplomas. Since 2000 has been a member of the Professional Boards of a number of international and republican theatrical festivals. (Jury) Authored a number of scientific articles and methodical manuals published in specialized journals. On January 18, 2016 got the title of the Associate Professor (ASPU Pedagogical Council) In 2016, on the behest of the US Western Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Hovnan Terteryan was in the USA with the performances. At “Alex” theater of Glendale staged “Anoush” opera by A. Tigranyan; within the frames of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide presented “Liturgy by Komitas” concert-performance. Has been stage director and creative director of a number of projects. In 2017, in New York cofounded the Armenian-American cultural organization “For the first time on the world stage”, which staged “Abegha” opera by Barsegh Kanachyan. On February 23, 2018 was awarded with thanksgiving medal of Yerevan State College of Fine Arts after P. Terlemezyan for “Personal contribution to the development of the educational establishment”. In January 2019 was appointed acting head of the Department of Culture of Yerevan Municipality. In April 2019, by the Mayor’s decision was appointed head of the Department of Culture.
