CONTENT STANDARD:
 The learners demonstrate understanding of the importance of conservation of energy in
daily life activities
PERFORMANCE STANDARD:
 The learners shall be able to demonstrate proper use of device equipment that produce
light, heat in daily activities.

VALUE STANDARD:
 The students will demonstrate the care for the source of heat and light energy.

LEARNING COMPETENCIES:

The learners should be able to:

1. Discuss precautionary measures related to heat and light sources.

2. State the safety protections about avoiding the harmful effects of
excessive exposure from heat and light to human being.

What lesson did we tackle on last Tuesday?

We tackle about the precautionary

measure related to light and heat
sources.
GAME ACTIVITY: SNAKE AND
LADDER BOARD GAME
Each group will play and finish the
game activity.
Divide the students into two.
Provide activity rules.

Steps on playing:

• One of the member in the

group will take turn to roll the dice,
the player who rolls the statement
card will move their counter.

• The player should move their

counter according to the statement:
precautionary measure they rolled.

• If a player lands on a snakes

head they must slide down to the
square where the snakes tail is.

• If a player lands on the bottom

of a ladder they can climb up to the
square that is on top of the ladder.

be the winner.

want to buy. What is the reason why

 Avoid staying longer on using
gadgets that has too much light
and heat exposure.
 Wear sunglasses tp shade your
eyes from extreme brightness
of the sun.
 Avoid staring at bright lights.
 Do not aim laser pointers at
person’s eyes.
 Do not touch the light bulbs
 Appropriate eyeglasses can
protect the eyes against
radiation.
The game helps me to be patient with
my groupmates.
1. It can cause a big impact that
can damage my eyes and my
brain. Also, it can be very
unhealthy for me on staying
longer in using gadgets and
playing the other light and
heat sources for fun.
2. I must limit myself on using it
and save energy if I am not
using it.
