Result

1. The null hypothesis (H0) implies that there is no significant difference between the
averages/means of before and after training
The alternative hypothesis (H1) implies that there is a significant difference between the
averages/means of before and after training

2. Since we are measuring the efficiency of the employee before and after training, the paired
t-test is administered for this case, the mean and SD before training are 21.0 and 3.66
respectively and the mean & SD after training are 14.7 and 2.56 respectively, t value is 69.6,
df is 146 and the significance is less than 0.001

3. Since the significance is less than 0.001, we reject the null hypothesis and accept the
alternative hypothesis. That is there is a significant difference between the
averages/means of before and after training.

4. This means that the training has been effective and useful, this is evident through the means
of the before and after training data.
