Assistant Manager (Civil)

KCCL is one of the largest cement manufacturers in the country. In the civil department at the company’s Head office, I
am responsible for controlling and monitoring all the projects relevant to civil engineering. Construction of a housing
complex for employees, installation of a 10 MW solar power plant, Gypsum, and Marble shed for a white cement line,
and Drivers Rest Area construction are some of the major projects. I am also responsible for the preparation of quarterly
inspection reports for all the structures of the cement plant are taking the necessary action to resolve the problems.

Project Engineer
I worked as a Project Engineer on a Project by the same company in DHA Gujranwala. This project consists of the
construction of 100 x 5 Marla villas. This was a turnkey project. IPCs preparation, project scheduling, monitoring
company expenses, escalation bills preparation, supervision of contractors and sub-engineers, and dealing with other
stakeholders were major responsibilities.

Civil Engineer
I have worked as a civil engineer on a project by the same company in Sui, Balochistan. This project included the
construction of various buildings. Offices, support complexes, shopping marts, and residential units were part of it. I got
an opportunity to experience various new things in this project. We started and completed this project in 2020.

Site Engineer
● I have worked as a site engineer on a construction program owned by Frontier Corps Headquarters, Balochistan. I have
worked on a triple-story project in Turbat, Balochistan. My duty on these projects was;

 Conduct on-site investigations and analyze data

 Provide layouts of structure on site
 Carry out technical and feasibility studies
 Manage budget and purchase equipment/materials
  Optimize the cost and quality of the project
 Monitor progress and compile reports on project status
 Report project progress to the program director and project owner
 Comply with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety, etc., and deliver technical files and other
technical documentation as required
 Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems/deficiencies
 Cross-check the quality of work done by sub-engineer
 Oversee and mentor sub-engineers, staff, and subcontractors and liaise with a variety of stakeholders
 Hand over the project and carry out the necessary documentation

Estimation Engineer
● Being an Estimation Engineer at Edeas Construction Services, I made estimates of various projects. My duty was to
prepare detailed estimates by processing working drawings of projects on Planswift 10.1 and providing final results in
Microsoft Excel.

Irtiqa Designs, Lahore 5th June-12th August/2017

Design Internee (Letter# ID/Cer/08)
● Being an internee design engineer at Irtiqa design, I got an opportunity to learn designing structures using the ACI
method of structural design. Drafting of drawings according to design and cost estimation of projects was also included
in this internship.

ACADEMIC PROJECTS
Synthesis of Self-Compacting Concrete by improving Packing density | FYP 7-8th Semester/2018
● This study comprises self-compacting concrete preparation. The technique used for such purpose is “packing density
improvement”. The study aimed at finding the optimum mixing ratio which is required to synthesize high-strength
self-consolidating concrete.

Highway design on Eagle Point 7th Semester/2017

● In this project, along with my three group members, we designed a highway using Eagle point. Survey data from
AutoCAD file format was processed in Eagle point to get the required highway design details.

Water Supply Design of a small town on EPANET 7th Semester/2017

● This project contains design details of the water supply system of a small town. The water supply system is designed
using EPANET 2.0 software. Prior to solving the system on software, several manual calculations have been made.
Calculations include geometrical properties of pipes, ground levels of nodes (junctions), base demand at nodes,
reservoir and water tank properties, etc. At the cost of input information, we obtained several tables, graphs, and
profiles which assist the execution of the projects according to the requirement for a certain design period.

Land use Classification and Change Detection of Gujranwala using ArcGIS 10.1 7th Semester/2017
● It was an academic project and part of the Geo-informatics LAB of Bachelor’s course. The core objective of this
project was to analyze the land use periodic changes that occurred in the city Gujranwala. ArcGIS 10.1 was used for
the classification and detection of changes in the map at different times.
