 I BELIEVE THAT IT DOES. DIFFERENT DISPOSITIONS OR NATURES ARE INHERITED BY


NEWBORNS. THE WAY PARENTS REACT TO THEIR CHILD’S BEHAVIOR AND APPEARANCE HAS A
SIGNIFICANT IMPACT ON HOW THAT CHILD FEELS LOVED AND ACCEPTED. A TIMID
YOUNGSTER, FOR INSTANCE, CAN EITHER BE ENCOURAGED AND GENTLY ASSISTED TO
EXPRESS HIMSELF OR PUNISHED WITH CONTEMPT, SHAME, AND NEGLECT. BEHAVIOR OF
SIBLINGS HAS AN IMPACT ON THE CHILD AS WELL AS LATER ON PEERS, TEACHERS, AND OTHER

INCLUDING YOUR INTELLECT, MEMORY, PERSONALITY, EMOTION, SPEECH, AND CAPACITY
FOR FEELING AND MOVEMENT.
 CORTEX – (“ALSO KNOWN AS "GRAY MATTER"). THE CORTEX OF THE BRAIN RECEIVES DATA
GATHERED BY THE FIVE SENSES. THE NERVOUS SYSTEM SUBSEQUENTLY SENDS THIS
INFORMATION TO OTHER REGIONS FOR ADDITIONAL PROCESSING. AS AN ILLUSTRATION,
WHEN YOU CONTACT A HOT SURFACE, YOUR BRAIN SENDS SIGNALS TO MOVE YOUR HAND
AND ANOTHER PORTION OF THE BRAIN SENDS SIGNALS TO HELP YOU REMEMBER NOT TO DO
IT AGAIN.
 THALAMUS – TRANSMITS INFORMATION TO THE CORTEX FROM THE SENSORY ORGANS SUCH
THE EYES, HEARING, NOSE, AND FINGERS.
 HYPOTHALAMUS – GOVERNS YOUR HEART RATE, HYDRATION, HUNGER, SLEEP CYCLES, AND
OTHER INNATE BODILY FUNCTIONS.
 PITUITARY GLAND – IT PRODUCES THE HORMONES THAT REGULATE METABOLISM,
DEVELOPMENT, WATER AND MINERAL BALANCE, SEXUAL MATURITY, AND STRESS RESPONSE.
2. THE HINDBRAIN:
 CEREBELLUM – BECAUSE IT RESEMBLES A MINIATURE VERSION OF THE CEREBRUM, THE
CEREBELLUM IS ALSO KNOWN AS THE “LITTLE BRAIN” AND IS IN CHARGE OF BALANCE,
MOVEMENT, AND COORDINATION.
 BRAIN STEM - COORDINATES THE MESSAGES THAT THE BRAIN SENDS, RECEIVES, AND SENDS.
MANY OF THE BODY'S AUTOMATIC PROCESSES, INCLUDING BREATHING, HEART RATE, BLOOD
PRESSURE, SWALLOWING, DIGESTING, AND BLINKING, ARE ALSO UNDER ITS CONTROL.

practical intelligence? Define your answer.

maximize your potential?

 EACH OF MY DISTINCT STUDENTS HAS AN OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN BY USING THE MANY


INTELLIGENCES TO TEACH A CONCEPT. THE LEARNER WHO EXCELS IN VISUAL-SPATIAL
INTELLIGENCE WILL LIKE SOLVING PUZZLES AND DRAWING. ... LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT CAN
BE INCREASED BY PLAYING TO A STUDENT’S STRENGTHS.WHEN A NOVEL TOPIC IS MASTERED,
PEOPLE EXPERIENCE SUCCESS. ADULTS IN THE WORKFORCE SHOULD SEE FAILURE TO MASTER
A NEW SKILL AS AN OPPORTUNITY TO TRY AGAIN. THE FEELING OF FAILURE AMONG PUPILS
MAY LEAD TO MISBEHAVIOR, APATHY, INATTENTION, AND DISRUPTION OF CLASS. THE
HYPOTHESIS OF MANY INTELLIGENCES MAY DETER PUPILS FROM LEARNING.STUDENTS LEARN
DIFFERENTLY IN EVERY ACADEMIC SITUATION, FROM PRESCHOOL TO COLLEGE. DUE TO THEIR
UNIQUE LEARNING STYLES AND APTITUDES, EACH KID IS BOTH TALENTED AND CHALLENGED.
THESE LEARNING PROCLIVITIES AND PREFERENCES ARE REFERRED TO AS INTELLIGENCES BY
HOWARD GARDNER. GARDNER CREATED THE THEORY OF MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCES TO
EXPLAIN HOW PEOPLE LEARN DIFFERENTLY FROM ONE ANOTHER. THE THEORY ORIGINALLY
LISTED SEVEN INTELLIGENCES, BUT WAS LATER REVISED TO INCLUDE A TOTAL OF NINE. THE
HYPOTHESIS CONTENDS THAT PEOPLE POSSESS ALL NINE INTELLIGENCES, WHILE SOME ARE
GREATER THAN OTHERS. LOGIC-MATHEMATICAL, SPATIAL, LINGUISTIC, BODILY-KINESTHETIC,
MUSICAL, INTRAPERSONAL, NATURALISTIC, AND EXISTENTIAL INTELLIGENCES ARE THE ONES
GARDNER LISTS.

achieve our goals in life.

1. LISTENING TO OTHERS – I BELIEVE MY STRONGEST SKILL IS LISTENING TO OTHERS. I LEARN


THIS SKILL THROUGH REFLECTION, OBSERVATION, AND EXPERIENCES. TYPICALLY, I AM THE
GROUP LEADER, AND I THINK THAT EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE THE CHANCE TO VOICE THEIR
THOUGHTS AND OPINIONS. AS A RESULT, I AM ABLE TO COLLECT VALUABLE INFORMATION
THAT CAN SERVE AS THE FOUNDATION FOR OUR IDEAS, KNOWLEDGE, AND CONCLUSION.
2. PERSISTENCE – ONLY IF THAT OBJECTIVE COUNTS ENOUGH TO CARRY US THROUGH WILL THE
JOURNEY THERE BE COMPLETED IN ITS ENTIRETY. DEEP DESIRE DRIVES US AND MAKES US
PERSISTENT, AND PERSISTENCE PAYS OFF BY PROVIDING THE NECESSARY DRIVE AND
CONCENTRATION TO CONTINUE SCALING THE MOUNTAIN LEADING TO OUR GOAL.
3. COOPERATION - WE FREQUENTLY NEED TO COLLABORATE WITH OTHERS AS WE MAKE
PROGRESS TOWARD OUR GOALS. COOPERATION SKILLS INCREASE OUR CHANCES OF
RECEIVING THE SUPPORT WE NEED TO SUCCESSFULLY CHANGE AND ADVANCE. WITHOUT
OTHERS' HELP, ANY ATTEMPT AT CHANGE MAY FAIL OR BECOME STUCK.
4. USING ALL THE SENSES – USING YOUR FIVE SENSES TO VISUALIZE YOUR GOALS IS A HIGHLY
EFFECTIVE SELF-MOTIVATION TECHNIQUE. DREAMS CAN BE EXPERIENCED IN ALL THEIR
SENSES: SIGHT, SOUND, TASTE, FEELING, AND SMELL. WHEN WE CAN CLEARLY SEE THE
EVENTUAL OUTCOME, IT INSPIRES US. THE MORE YOU VISUALIZE ACHIEVING THE OBJECTIVE,
THE SIMPLER IT WILL BE TO PUT IN THE EFFORT AND MAKE THE NECESSARY SACRIFICES.
