The site is located in Manchester, Northern Quarter, between

Bunsen Street, Little Lever Street and Dale Street.
One can get there by car, bus and bicycle and by foot.

In the Uk there are four different seasons with different sunpaths.

The sunlight on the Site is variable. Summer is a season with a light
throught the whole day , and in winter it’s the opposite of nearly
zero light coming to the site.
Therefore the building to access direct sunlight should be facing
south or have a multi floor height. From this I was observing which
spaces of my design are most important or that require light.

In the third model i extended

the ,,terrace’’, however i
decided to make it as a whole

noticable and the winery more
recognisable.
In Manchester the climate is
damp so I changed the idea of
having the presentation
outside. Instead decided to
use the ground open space
as a small square. As there
are not many green spaces in
this area this would give the
client an opportunity to sit,
relax and get attracted to
the winery seeing the
crushing part from the inside.

volumes of the spaces are shown

600.0 m2

For my precedents study i looked through a

lot of wineries to which helped me
develop the plan, the circulation and the
look of my design. Wineries of different
dimensions were considered making mine. My
sight with only 324 m2 is really small, and
from the research I found massive ones
with over 3000 m2. I was curious in the
details of some winaries such as Lagravera.
Used the connection between the office and
the tanks, which is a great idea of having a

Exhibit process

I wanted to experiment shadowing on a black

paper with white pencil. I also combined white
markers to outline the walls and floors and pen
to highlight things.
For the background I used a sketchup site
model and tried different styles for it.
