Activity Guide and Evaluation Rubric – Phase 3 - Application of lesson plans

With this activity, you are expected to achieve the following learning
outcomes:

At the end of the activity, the student will be able to apply lesson plans for English
language learning by considering the analysis of categories that influence the
phenomena identified in the practice environment.

The activity consists of:

1. Read the contents of units 2 and 3.

2. Make research about the following English teaching methods:

- The Silent Way


- Task-based language learning
- The Natural Approach
- Grammar-translation
- Audio-lingual
- Suggestopedia
- Total Physical Response (TPR)

Upload in the forum a word document of two pages minimum with the description of
each method. Use APA style to cite every paragraph.

3. Pick one of the methodologies and create an English activity for your

practiceplace, apply the activity and register all the processes in the
format:

- Anexo1- Diario de campo - Practica de inmersión e investigación.

4. With the remaining six methods create two lesson plans considering the
population needs. Use the format:

- Anexo 2. Lesson Plan Template –Integral Pedagogical Practice Course- 518018

Note: Anexo 1 and 2 are attached in the knowledge environment in the file: Activities
guide and evaluation rubric - Unit 3- Phase 3 - Application of lesson plans

- For each lesson plan, you must create five activities based on
threemethodologies researched in the previous step.

- Create a minimum of six resources made by yourself. Use only the


followingwebsites: Quizlet, genially, SmartDraw and h5p. Complete six
resources of your creation (three for every lesson).

5. Make a final reflection from about 400 words minimum, with the experience
of creation and application of the two lessons and make a contrast between
the research you made about the methodologies and the practice. Here are
some questions that can lead your writing:

- What elements of the selected methodologies you consider are more


appropriate for the context of your practice?
- What is the coherence between the selected methodologies the context and the
needs of the students?
- In the practice, what aspects of the methodologies worked well, and which did
not?
- Include all the aspects you consider important and the questions that emerge
after your practice with the created activities.
- Cite the authors in APA style.

● Be creative when including technological resources for the English
languagelearning process.
● Share with your partners ideas and reflections, learn together.
● Carefully read the contents of the course.

Please keep in mind that all individual or collaborative written products must comply
with the spelling rules and presentation conditions defined in this activity guide.
Regarding the use of references, consider that the product of this activity must
comply with APA style.
In any case, make sure you comply with the rules and avoid academic plagiarism.
You can review your written products using the Turnitin tool found in the virtual
campus.
