Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

ECM-P019300
Condition
The Engine control module (ECM) measures the fuel pressure in the fuel rail using the fuel pressure sensor.
The control module checks the direct voltage from the sensor.
Note
The fuel pressure sensor and fuel temperature sensor are integrated in the same component.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:

The direct voltage is higher than 4.951 V.

Incorrect value lasts longer than 9 seconds.
Incorrect value lasts for 2 or more subsequent driving cycles.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:

Ignition switch position II.

Note
The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is
stored when the conditions are met.

Substitution

The control module uses a constant fuel pressure.

The control module controls the fuel pump, via the fuel pump module, with a constant signal.
Possible source

Open-circuit in signal cable or ground lead.

Contact resistance and oxidation in the terminals.
Short-circuit to supply voltage in the signal cable.
Open-circuit in the signal cable.
Damaged fuel pressure sensor.

Fault-tracing
Fault-tracing information
Use the following information and general checks during fault-tracing.
Note
Check that the fuses are intact.
For locations, see the instruction manual, cover for fuse box, fuse ratings or similar.

Check, if possible, relevant functions in the vehicle using buttons/controls/test drives to determine the status of
the fault.
Note
If the vehicle does not show any of the given symptoms in the diagnostic trouble code information (DTC), this
may mean that the fault is intermittent or that the control module is not detecting the fault at this moment.
Use the diagnostic trouble code's frozen values, status identifiers and counter to determine the operating
conditions when the fault was detected, the fault's current status and any degree of intermittence of the fault.
Check and fault-trace according to the fault causes that are specified in the diagnostic trouble code (DTC)
information.
Use VIDA Vehicle communication.
Read off the parameters, activate components and functions, carry out quick tests and checking routines for the
diagnostic trouble codes to identify the fault.
Check relevant components according to Component specifications.
Check relevant signals using wiring diagram, signal specification and breakout box.
Note
More information is available in Design and function.

Remedy as necessary.
