INTRO

Detail-oriented software developer with proven communication, research, analytical and problem-solving skills. I am
constantly improving my skillset by continuous reading and implementing various projects. My passion for learning
and technology drives me in my pursuit of knowledge that is helpful in alleviating many of today's problems. I am
conversant with Java, XML and have a few projects written in Kotlin. I have a couple more projects done using Java
including an instagram clone which is my most recent. I aim to provide my knowledge and skills to help tackle real
world problems through technology.

WORK EXPERIENCE

ICT trainee
County Government of Kericho • Sep 2018 – Dec 2018

Maintenance and troubleshooting of network and computer related issues. Installation of operating systems and
applications to computers. Monitoring and upgrading of computer systems and networks by cable installation in
various offices and router configuration. Web development focusing on the user interface of the company website.
Help install and support of all ICT hardware and software including radios, cable crimping for internet connection and
server maintenance. Provide additional support to various departments including performance checks and outdoor
activities. Fieldwork was also carried out and I learned valuable information on cell towers and how they operate.

E D U C AT I O N

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science

Kabarak University • Sep 2016 – Dec 2020

Undertook programming units in the languages of Java, PHP, C/C++ including web development with HTML, CSS and
javascript. Some of the concepts I learned are operating systems, multithreading, object oriented programming (OOP),
algorithms, computer organization and architecture, and microprocessors. Submitted a seminar which was an
extensive research on blue eyes technology, exploring human computer interaction. Contributed in the design of a file
transfer protocol application which was submitted as a team project, following the software development lifecycle .
Developed a downloading application system that could execute downloads of files transferred over the internet to be
stored and accessed locally.
