 INTRODUCTION
This Project is worked in 3 pieces and two fibers.
Color A: 3 skeins “The wool”.
Color B: 1 skein “Meriwool”.
Scarf
This project is knitted in one piece widthwise and then
folded and seamed to make the pockets.
Granny snowflakes
The snowflakes are worked with two strands of yarn
in the round, this means that the round is finished by
making a slip stitch into the turning chain of the previous
round. When you begin a round, you will have to make
the number of chains necessary to reach the height of
the stitch you will work. These chains substitute the first
stitch of the round.
Before beginning it is important that you know how to do
the following techniques:

Double stranded knitting: To do this, take one end of

formed by chains from the previous row, insert your hook
into the space below the stitches.

SCARF
1. Cast on 11 stitches with color A onto one of the
wooden needles.
2. Work rows 1 to 300 in seed stitch, this means: knit 1,
purl 1* repeat until the end of the row and until you reach
row 300.
*ATTENTION! When, in the same row, you work a knit
stitch followed by a purl stitch (or vice versa), you have to
change the position of your working yarn. Place the working
yarn in front of your work to make a purl stitch and place the
working yarn behind your work to make a knit stitch.
3. Cast off all stitches.
GRANNY (Snowflake)
Follow these instructions twice to make 2 granny
snowflakes.
1. Chain 6 with two strands of color B and close them in a
circle by joining the last chain to the first with a slip stitch.
2. Work rounds 1 to 3 in double crochet as follows:
Round 1: chain 3, 11 double crochet, close the round
with 1 slip stitch. You will have a total of 12 stitches.

Round 2: chain 1. *Work 1 double crochet, chain 2,
1 double crochet in the same stitch. Work 1 single
crochet*. Repeat from * to * until there is one stitch left.
Work 1 double crochet, chain 2, 1 double crochet in this
last stitch. Close the round with 1 slip stitch.
Round 3: chain 3. *[Work in the chain space formed by
the 2 chains of the previous round 1 single crochet, chain
6, join the last chain to the first of the chain 6 with a slip
stitch, chain 8 and join the last chain to the first of the
chain 8 with 1 slip stitch, chain 6 and join the last chain
to the first of the chain 6 with 1 slip stitch, work 1 single
crochet into the same chain space]. Chain 4 *. Repeat
from * to * until there is 1 chain space left. Repeat from
[ to ] one time and chain 2. Close the round with 1 slip
stitch.
3. Once you have finished crocheting the 3 rounds, cut
the yarn tail and pull the yarn out through the last stitch.
 JOIN AND FINISH

Once you have finished knitting your scarf it will look like sew the granny snowflake onto the center of one of the

Thread the tapestry needle with a strand of color A, fold
in 20 rows from one end of the scarf and sew the side
seams with a zigzag stitch.

the pockets. yarn about 3 inches, cut off even with the fabric. Weave
in any loose ends in the same way.
