1) We classify things because it provides structure within which we can conduct a scientific study.
2) A pure substance is a material made on only one kind of element or compound; it is not a
mixture.
3) Elements is a pure substance that consists of atoms with the same atomic number.
4) A characteristic that makes a mixture a not pure substance is that they are physically combine
but not chemically and that the proportion of the substance within the mixture is variable.
5) A heterogeneous mixture does not have a uniform prance while the homogeneous does.
6) Two examples of pure substance could be gold and chlorine and two examples of a mixture
could also be air and poweraid.
7) A compound is a pure substance consisting of atoms of two or more different elements that are
chemically combined and mixtures are a physical combination of two or more substances.
