1. Demostrative Adjetives describes a noun

This chair is broken.

That car is expensive.
These clothes are wet.
Those birds are flying south.

2. Demonstrative Pronoun identifies someone or something

Use of demonstrative adjectives and pronouns

A demonstrative is used to demostrate any object or something, or to point to something in a sentence.

This (singular)
For example:

I like this apple.

That (singular)
For example:

I like that apple.

These (plural)
For example:

I like these apples.
