Core Collection
▪ The complete collection of Wiley journals to which the Institution subscribes.
▪ Pricing is based on full rate institutional only subscription fees to obtain online access.

Standard Collection
▪ Includes 4 standard collections: Full Collection, Scientific Technical and Medical (STM), Social Sciences and Humanities SSH), and
Medical and Nursing (M&N).
▪ By maintaining the subscriptions that form the customer’s Core Collection, customers can gain access to the unsubscribed titles in
any of the above-mentioned Standard Collections for a deeply discounted fee.

Custom Collection
▪ This is a ‘Pick and Choose’ Collection that has been custom-built by the Customer. The Institution pays a Collection Fee to access
the Custom Collection in addition to its Core Collection Fee.
▪ Best option for a customer who wants a title that’s not in the Core Collection or Standard Collection.

Journals: Access-Based Model
A better experience for your patrons.
Under the Access-Based Model, the Institution does not need to subscribe and pay a full
rate institutional online only subscription fee. By licensing a Custom Collection under the
Access-Based Model, the institution will obtain online access to these unsubscribed Wiley
journals.

Titles not included in the Access-Based Model are those that are not in any standard
collection or “non-collection titles”.

Key Benefits:
▪ Cost-effective: A more affordable solution that is designed to meet the librarian’s
needs for greater flexibility while users enjoy access to over 1,600 Wiley Online Library
journal titles (excluding titles that are not available for selection)
▪ Enhanced Flexibility: There is no need to maintain a core collection. You will have the
flexibility to create a collection tailored to the institution’s appetite for research content.
▪ Comprehensive Research: Access to journal articles published throughout the
subscription term of 12 months
▪ Ease of Access: Unlimited concurrent user access from multiple sites
