We use first conditional sentences to talk about a situation that is possible to happen and
its result.
If + S + V (present simple), S + will/ can + V-infinitive
If clause Main clause (result)
S + present simple S + will/ can + V-infinitive
If you buy 2 T-shirts, you’ll get another one free.
If the restaurant doesn’t open today, what will we do?
Note: The main clause can come before or after the if clause.
Ex: You’ll get another one free if you buy 2 T-shirts.
