Ref: Your office letter No, Cell-I1I-PDLL-1031900156-5 2019 dated 16/8/2021 Reference above letter, 10 BLC wagons of rake owned by M/s Adani Logistics (CTO) Rake No. AD-05, were got derailed on 03/12/2018 at Morthala Railway station of Ajmer Division over NWR & M/s Adani Logistics has filed claim for the cost of 10 wagons and containers. Mechanical Department handles only maintenance of BLC wagons and does not deal with containers. Out of ten wagons, 8 wagons were declared condemned and two wagons were pushed to nearest sick line at FL/JP division. Later on, these two wagons were booked to TKD yard as based over NR. Now, these wagons are available in Hump-5/TKD yard in road worthy condition, ‘These wagons were manufactured by M/s Texmaco Limited in the year 2008, As per PO, cost of 45 wagons was Rs. 8, 33, 91,726. Accordingly, the cost of abovementioned 8 wagons is. %1,48,25,196 and their depreciated cost has been calculated by Jagadhari Workshop which comes out to be %1,05, 89,426. However, M/s Adani has claimed for Rs 1, 24, 57, 204 for 10 wagons. Accordingly, the claimed cost of 8 wagons is % 99,65,763 only.
