LIST OF SOLUTIONS
A. Project Title:
Project R.E.A.P (Reading and English Advancement Passport)
Problem Statement:
Learners’ reading and language skills are low as shown in the MPS.
Project Objective Statement:
This project aims to achieve the following:
a. Provide the Grade 7 -10 learners with appropriate and effective interventions to address their
reading and language difficulties
b. elevate the MPS results to at least at 75% for English and Reading.
Root Cause:
Low MPS results in English and Reading focus skills.
Project R.E.A.P (Reading and English Advancement Passport) was proposed and crafted as teachers observed
the students’ need for improvement in various skills in the English subject and in Reading.
The project shall continuously identify the root causes of the problem and provide solutions and interventions to
help students, especially struggling readers, in improving not only their reading and language performance but hopefully
their overall academic performance. Their entry in Junior High School could have rendered them unprepared for
complex texts and this prompted an intervention program since reading is not only essential in English but also across
disciplines.
