GSI CORTI QUICK GUIDE
This Quick Guide is provided as a reference for initiating testing with the GSI Corti™. It is recommended that the user refer to the Corti User Manual for full instructions and information on the operation of the Corti.
Corti Quick Guide: Screening
While the Corti is in the off position, connect the HDMI connector of
the Probe to the Corti hand-held unit. Make sure the probe cable is
fully inserted.
Probe Tip Placement
1. Place a clean probe tube into the micro probe.
Press the tip into the probe to ensure the tube is
completely seated.
2. Place the ear tip over the probe
tube. The ear tip must be flush with
the probe.
Performing a Screening Test
1. Insert the probe with ear tip into the ear canal.
2. Power on the Corti by pressing the down button on the front
panel.
3. Press the right button to select the right ear test, or press the left
button to select the left ear test.
4. The Corti performs an automatic probe and calibration test.
5. The screening automatically starts. The results are viewed on the
OLED screen.
6. When the test is completed, the screen will display a “Pass, Refer,
Noisy, No Seal or Fit Err”. If a “Noisy, No Seal or Fit Err” is
displayed, re-adjust the probe placement and retest.
7. To review results, press the down button on the navigation panel.
NOTE: To review test results, press down button before moving
to the next test (opposite ear). If you do not review the results,
they will be unavailable for viewing until the results are either
printed or transferred to the database.
8. To print results, press the up button on the navigation panel. The
display will indicate the wireless printer that is paired with the
Corti. Press the right or left button on the front to connect and
initiate printing.
NOTE: The Corti will automatically power down after printing.
9. To proceed to the next screening test, insert the probe into the
opposite ear. Press the left button to test the left ear or the right
button to test the right ear.
Setting The Clinical Standard
Corti Quick Guide: Diagnostic Test
While the Corti is in the off position, connect the HDMI connector of
the Probe to the Corti hand-held unit. Make sure the probe cable is
fully inserted.

Selecting the Protocol
1. If the unit is off, power on the unit by pressing the down button
on the navigation panel.
2. Press the down button (Change) one time to enter the protocol
menu.
3. Use the right or left button to scroll through the Corti protocols.
The protocol will be listed in the center of the display screen.
4. When you reach the desired protocol, press the up button on the
navigation panel to return to the testing screen.
5. Note the selected protocol is listed in the center of the display
screen.
Performing a Diagnostic Test
1. If the unit is off, power on the unit by pressing the down button
on the navigation panel.
2. Press the right button to test the right ear; press the left button to
test the left ear.
3. The Corti performs an automatic probe and calibration test.
4. The testing automatically starts. The results are viewed on the
OLED screen.
5. When the test is completed, the Corti will return to the main test
screen. The results are ready for interpretation. If a “Noisy, No Seal
or Fit Err” is displayed, re-adjust the probe placement and retest.
6. To review results, press the down button on the navigation panel.
NOTE: To review test results, press review (down button) before
moving to the next test (other ear). If you do not review the results,
they will be unavailable for viewing until the results are either
printed or transferred to the database.

7. To print results, press the up button on the navigation panel. The
display will indicate the wireless printer that is paired with the
Corti. Press the right or left button on the front panel button to
connect and initiate printing.
NOTE: All results that are stored in the Corti will be printed.
NOTE: The Corti will automatically power down after printing.
8. To proceed to the next evaluation, refer to Number 1 of Performing
a Diagnostic Test.

Navigation Buttons
Down Button
• Single press – turns the Corti power on
• Single press – enters the protocol screen
and the menu screens
Right Button
• Main screen – starts a test on the right
ear
• All screens – scrolls through options in
the selected menu item
Left Button
• Main screen – starts a test on the left ear
• All screens – scrolls through options in
the selected menu item
Up Button
• Long Press – turns the Corti power off
• Single Press – moves up one level in the menu structure
• Single Press – moves to the print menu at the completion of a test
Menu Structure
1. Power Up Screen – displays software and firmware version of the
Corti.
2. Main Screen – displays the selected test protocol and R and L for
testing each ear; allows scrolling and selection of the stored
protocols.
3. Date/Time Screen – displays the date and time and allows
changes via the left and right arrows.
4. System Screen – displays system operation settings and allows

changes via the left and right arrows.
5. Protocol Screens – displays the protocol settings and allows
changes via the left and right arrows. Changes to settings are
available on the diagnostic Corti unit.
