Module 2: DISCOVERING THE Cs

Activity 1: Processing Questions

1. What are the five global trends that affect the global
workforce? How can knowing these help you as a Grade 12
student? The global workforce is currently being influenced
by five significant trends, including technological
advancements, demographic shifts, globalization,
environmental sustainability, and changing workforce
expectations. As a Grade 12 student, being aware of these
trends can help in preparing for future careers. This includes
keeping up with technological advancements to develop
relevant skills, developing cross-cultural skills, considering
sustainability, prioritizing work-life balance, and exploring
purpose-driven work. By understanding these trends and
their potential impact, students can make informed
decisions about their education and career paths to ensure
future success in the global workforce.

2. How will lifelong learning help you succeed in life and

career? it will help me in personal growth, building
confidence, and improving social interactions. By committing
to lifelong learning, individuals can cultivate a growth
mindset, stay relevant, and continuously improve their
abilities, ultimately leading to a successful and fulfilling life
and career.

3. Do you agree with Heraclitus’s statement that “The only

thing that is constant is change”? Explain. Yes because
Heraclitus’s statement that “The only thing that is constant is
change” is generally regarded as an accurate observation of
the world. Change is a fundamental aspect of life, and
everything is subject to it, including the natural world,
human society, and individual experience. Change can take
many forms, such as growth, decay, transformation, or
adaptation, and it is an inevitable and necessary process for
growth and development. Therefore, embracing change and
learning to navigate it is essential for individuals and
organizations to thrive in the constantly evolving world we
live in.

4. How will you implement the seven Cs of lifelong skills in

your life and career?

It can implement the seven Cs of lifelong skills by continuously working on improving their
competence and acquiring new knowledge in their field. Encourage creativity by exploring new ideas
and experiences, set clear goals and priorities, and regularly review progress. Be committed to
lifelong learning and professional development to stay relevant in your field. Cultivate a strong sense
of ethics, responsibility, and integrity in both personal and professional contexts. Build collaborative
relationships with colleagues and other professionals to learn from others and leverage collective
knowledge and skills. Lastly, develop strong communication skills, including active listening, effective
written and verbal communication, and constructive feedback. By focusing on these seven Cs of
lifelong skills, individuals can develop a growth mindset and continuously improve their abilities,
ultimately leading to a successful and fulfilling life and career.

Activity 2:
The learners will create their Hierarchy of Cs by filling in the spaces of the pyramid with the
appropriate lifelong skills. An assessment of one’s self will enable them to reflect on the levels of
their lifelong skills so that they may highlight their advanced skill while working on the ones that
need development. At the bottom, learners will have to complete the sentences that would
signify their commitment in maintaining, enhancing and improving their skills
