Focus Ireland

Focus Ireland is a charity based in Dublin that provides services for


people who are homeless and people at risk of homelessness in Ireland.
It was founded by Sister Stanislaus Kennedy in 1985. It is one of the
largest housing and homelessness organisations in Ireland. It provides
services in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Kilkenny, Sligo, Kildare, Carlow,
Tipperary, Wexford and Waterford.
In 2018, Focus Ireland helped over 15,000 people who were homeless
or at risk of losing their home. The charity's housing association also
had provided over 1,100 homes for individuals and families in Ireland.
Focus Ireland's work includes lobbying for changes in public policy and
provision for those experiencing homelessness. They also focus on
preventing homelessness by providing secure homes for those in need.
Under Focus Ireland's 2017 - 2020 Strategy Plan, the organisation's
stated aims focus on preventing homelessness and supporting people
who are homeless to move into secure accommodation.
