We currently live in a time where technology has increased our ability to express

ourselves and speak freely. Numerous social media sites have the potential to
change and influence you in a negative or positive way. In the Philippines, it is
said that “Facebook” is the most popular social media platform used by our fellow
filipinos. We are here to talk about the impact of “Facebook” on the current
generation.

The Generations now are emerging to technology, they are increasingly turning
to social media for personal development and information. But... Is the
information they obtain beneficial to them?

Adults and youth alike may find social media to be a scary virtual place, where
they care about others' reactions, judgment and feedbacks or simply trying to
connect with others online. Whether the information is real or not, and whether
the information is good or not, social media has a huge impact on one's
mentality. Many teenagers now may be socially shy or outgoing as a result of
their excessive usage of the internet as well as social media. People take
advantage of the capacity to cyberbully online and hide their identity by using
anonymous users or creating new accounts. However, this does not imply that
social media is wholly harmful to one's mental health; Facebook can also be a
welcoming online environment where you can freely converse, meet online
friends, or simply share photographs of what makes you happy. Depending on
the viewers or readers, you may be able to receive a lot of good vibes on the
social media platform called "Facebook".

In conclusion, teenagers, children and even adults should not spend too much
time on social media. Although Social media is a free place for everyone to
communicate and express themselves as they prefer, there may be
consequences if they use the internet or social media excessively.
