Summary:
Looking back at the evolution of Art will give us a glimpse of Art
history, outlining the stylistic development of Western and Modern
Art from 330 to 1975. To fully appreciate the work of any artist or art
movement, it is necessary to understand its position in the Art History
Timeline. As most new artwork is a reaction against or development of
a previous style in the timeline, it is enlightening to know the artistic
and historical context in which it was created.
Summary:
An art movement is a tendency or style in Art with a specific common
philosophy or goal, followed by a group of artists during a particular
period (usually a few months, years, or decades) or, at least, with the
heyday of the movement defined within several years. Art movements
were significant in modern Art when each activity was considered a
new avant-garde.
