I have known Mr. D'Hondt for a couple of years and worked with him a lot. He has always made
me feel welcome and has earned the respect of his peers, students, and instructors. The care
and pride he puts into his work is exemplary. I have been involved in many ensembles as his
student and as a peer and it is clear how he inspires others in many ways. The rehearsal
environment, between student to teacher and student to student, reflects the positive attitude
and work ethic that Mr. D'Hondt helps to create. The way Mr. D'Hondt runs his ensembles also
makes us feel productive, respected, and safe. Everyone brings good energy around him and he
has always been a positive figure.
