In-Service Training for Teachers

NARRATIVE REPORT
Service training is a process and a part of continuing education that helps the teachers to gain greater
insight into teaching. In this training, teachers become involved in order to broaden their knowledge, improve
their skills and attitudes.
The theme of the said training was “Empowering the 21 st Century Teachers by Renewing Commitment
and Improvement in the Delivery of Quality Education”. According to the George Lucas in his book
“Educational Foundation”, the role of a teacher today is much different than it used to be. In today's world of
education, a teacher's role is quite multifaceted, teachers are front liners and deemed to pursuit in educating the
young.
If the future of the nation depends on the youth of today, the future of tomorrow depends on the
teachers! Teachers play a very important role in making the world a better place to live in.  They not only
educate learners, but also help turn them into responsible adults.
