LEARNING OBJECTIVE By the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
1. Understand meaning in a variety of familiar contexts
2. Communicate information, ideas, opinions and feelings intelligibly on familiar topics

ACTIVITIES PRE-LESSON Students are asked to look at the two pictures and guess what is
happening. Students are asked to read through the questions and a
short discussion is initiated.
LESSON DELIVERY Activity A (Students Book page 11)
1.Students grouped into large groups. Group A prompts Group B
using pictures and vice versa.
2. Differentiation in the process: for weak/passive students,
teacher gives clues for asking and answering questions.

Activity B (Students Book page 11)


1. Students asked to read through the sentences 1-8. The CD is
played twice. The answers checked with the class. The CD is played
again in order to clarify any questions students might have.

POST LESSON Students state at least one new word / phrase / sentence that they
have learned in relation to the lesson topic. When students are
ready, words/phrases collected and shared as a whole class.
