Gadul Singh Lama

Gadul Singh Lama also known as Sanu Lama was born on 15 June 1939 in Gangtok. He is
an Indian fictional writer, poet & translator of Nepali literature. He did his
school education at Sir Tashi Namgyal High School and did his graduation as an
engineer from MBC Institute of Engineering, West Bengal. After that, he was
selected as a chief engineer by Sikkim State government service and served there
his life 38 years.

From childhood, he started writing and his good writing skills always impressed all
the teachers in the School. His first article published in Changya & Katha Sampad,
1971.
Sanu Lama writes so many anthology books like Swasni Meanchey, hurbhale Gaun
Chadyo, Khani Tarma Ekdin, Asinapo Meanchey. He also writes the autobiographical
novel or so many anthologies translated into so many languages. Gadul Singh Lama
also the founder of Bharatiya Nepali Rashtriya Parishad. He won many awards in his
career life like a Padma Shri Award, Madan Byakhanmala Puraskar, Dr. Shova Kanti
Thegim Smrithi Puraskar.
