NARRATIVE REPORT
COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAM
FEBRUARY 17, 2022

February 17, 2022, the modified Work-Study and Late Afternoon Program of
Crossing Bayabas National High School conducted the community outreach
entitled, Gift Giving – a donation drive to the identified less fortunate
learners of the adopted barangay.

The said activity is a generated output of the Income Generating Project

(IGP) entitled “Uling sa Papel.” It aimed to continually exude one of the best
practices of CBNHS and to strengthen the partnership of the school and the
community to better provide some basic assistance especially to students
who are less fortunate.

Through the help of the Barangay officials in person of Hon. Carmelita M.

Babao, recipients were identified. Approximately, there were 10-15 families
identified for the donation drive. All of them are bona fide students of the
school under the two programs mentioned. Along with them are their family
who received the goods.

The conduct of the activity was established with full preparation by the
MWSP and LAP teachers. Prior to it, needed materials and documents for the
implementation such as communication letters, certificates, attendance,
etc... were in packed to fully operate the initiative. Preliminary Activities
commenced at around 1:15 PM. Meanwhile, the distribution of goods started
at around 2:30 PM.

During the gift giving operation, we got the chance to converse with some of
the students and family members. One of them is Ms. Generous Murica, a
grade 10 student of the institution who quoted when interviewed, “Dako
kayo ko ug pasalamat ilabi na sa mga maestra ug maestro nako sa Crossing
Bayabas kay naningkamot jud sila na maka tabang labi na sa amo nga mga
working students.”

Truly, Crossing Bayabas National High School has been an epitome not just
in providing quality education but also in embodying the value of
compassion. With this, it is our thoughts that the spirit of giving and full
chance to initiate such program be sustained.
