A bit of Geography

The kingdom of king Mercian is one of the many kingdoms growth after the
fragmentation of the old Empire (imagine it like a roman empire).
Being a quite big kingdom, king Mercian gave to some of his warlords some baronies
more or less small. Each Barony is independendant and each baron refer stright to
the King himself.

Monfort is a barony in the north-west of the kingdom, once part of what the local
popolation called Aostroigh or Asturia.
The new Baron of Monfort decided to send a small detachment of his soldiers to
claim the fort on mount Cloich up the Oubrus river valley. A small and mostly
unconsidered piece of land on the border with another barony.
People of the Mercian kingdom are considered strangers in Asturia, they differs
with the local population in almost everything, including culture and religion so
this area is considered quite turbulent and fiercely independendat.
duty of the soldiers will be keep the situation under control, gather taxes and
quench any sparkle of rebellion.
