MELCS: Identify the genre, purpose, intended audience and features of various viewed texts such as movie trailer, newsflash,
internet-based program, documentary and video.
I. OBJECTIVES
a. Content The learner demonstrates understanding of contemporary Philippine literature as a means of responding

b. Performance The learner transfers learning by explaining the need to be cooperative and responsible in today’s global

polite oral language, stance and behavior in various information-sharing formats.

Competencies/ The learners will be able to:
Objectives identify the genre of a material viewed;
differentiate the genres of viewing by examining the various examples presented; and
appreciate the importance of the material viewed by organizing the information gathered
from the viewing material.
Develop the ability to critically evaluate and compare different examples of viewing materials
within the same genre, and to explain the similarities and differences between them.
