resolutions to solve the
problems.

What is the purpose?

Narrative text is aimed to entertain or
amuse the reader with the story.

 How is it
structured?
1) Orientation: It is about the opening paragraph where the
characters and the setting of the story are introduced. (Berisi
pengenalan tokoh, tempat dan waktu terjadinya cerita: siapa
atau apa, kapan dan dimana)

2) Complication: Where the problems in the story developed.

(Permasalahan muncul/ mulai terjadi dan berkembang.)

3) Resolution: Where the problems in the story is solved.

(Masalah selesai, secara baik "happy ending" ataupun buruk
"bad ending".)

4) Reorientation: It tells about the characters at the end of

the story.

What are the language features?

1) Using Past Tense
2) Using Action Verbs. A verb that shows action (walked, cried, etc.)
3) Using Time Conjunctions (when, then, suddenly, etc.)
