    PHILIPPINES JOINS THE GLOBAL COMMUNITY IN OBSERVING


    WORLD IMMUNIZATION WEEK

    The Department of Health (DOH) joins the rest of the world in celebrating
    World Immunization Week today under the slogan "Vaccination is everyone's
    job, Protect our Children and Protect our Communities." The theme seeks to
    enlist the commitment and unwavering support of local chief executives (LCEs)
    and other international partners in ensuring that immunization is accessible and
    sustainable across all levels of government in the nation, for the benefit of all.
    The World Health Organization, the United Nations International Children's
    Emergency Fund, the Department of Health, with assistance from the Taguig
    local government, arranged this event, which was attended by about 450 people
    from all walks of life.
