Torque Values : Refer to "Torque of bolts - Standard" (2946 0910 XX) and
"Torque of bolts for Z 55-90" (2946 1312 XX)

3. Overhaul oil pump

1. Mark the position of the oil
pump cover (A).

2. Remove the 3 bolts of the oil

pump cover (A).

3. Remove the cover (A).

4. Remove the strainer (A).

5. Install 2 bolts (A) to remove the

eccentric ring (B).

6. Pull out the eccentric ring (A).

7. Remove both oil pump

elements and the ring (A).

8. Clean the oil pump housing (A)

and inspect the key.

9. Clean and degrease the new

ring.

10. Install the new ring (A) in the oil

pump housing (B).

11. Clean and degrease the new

eccentric ring.

12. Install the new eccentric ring

(A).

13. Unpack the new oil pump

element and lubricate with oil
for easy installation.

14. Install the pump element (A).

15. Perform the same action for the

second pump element (A).

16. See maintenance procedure

“Clean gearcasing strainer”
(2946 1280 00) to clean the
strainer.

17. Install the strainer (A).

18. Install the new guide pin (A).

19. Remove the O-ring (A) from the

oil pump cover.

20. Clean all important surfaces.

21. Blow clean the whole cover.

22. Install a new O-ring (A).

23. Lubricate the O-ring for easy

installation.

24. Install the cover (A), mind the

position pin (B).

25. Install the cover (A).

26. Install and torque the 3 bolts

(A). A

Only for VSD units:

27. Loosen the bypass plug (A).

28. Remove the plug (A).

29. Remove the valve seat (A).

30. Replace the washer of the plug

(A).

31. Replace the spring (A).

32. Replace the valve seat (A).

33. Lubricate the valve with Roto-Z
for easy installation.

34. Install the plug with the spring

(A).

35. Torque the bypass plug (A).
