Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin had a younger sister, Maria, and an older brother, Dimitri.

His
sister drowned in a river and his mother blamed him as well as he almost killed Dimitri when
they were playing in a river. The big brother died because of pneumonia.

One day Grigori’s father horse was stolen and the boy guessed who the criminal was, so the
village thought he had powers. At the age of thirty-three he became religious. A religious man
told him to leave his family to learn about the world and Grigori traveled for years and lived
like a vagabond curing people.

Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin is a man who has powers. In his childhood his two brothers died,
and he discovered his abilities when he uncovered a criminal that stole the horse of his father.
Years later he became religious and leaved his family until he returned and became famous
because he helped people. He became the best advisor of the czar of the Romanov dynasty
because he helped the heir and could predict future. Also, there were lots of people that didn’t
like Grigori.

The world war I began and Grigori tried to help the soldiers, but they didn’t let him. Grigori
told the czar that, in order to win the war, he had to take part in the fighting and he did it.
Then the people’s respect for the monarchy disappeared and blamed Grigori. Felix Yusupov, an
important noble, tried to kill Grigori.

Catherine when she was born the astrologists said that she should die. She became an orphan
at the age of 12. She was rich because his family was one of the richest and powerful families
in Italy. They governed Florence. When the population tried to enter the palace by force,
Catherine’s family left her to save their own lives. They tried to kill her too but finally she went
to live with his relative Giulio de Medici. She was sent to France to marry Henry of Orleans, the
second son of king Francis I with 14. Henry was in love with another woman. He began a
relationship with his mistress Diane. Many people was intimidated by her intellect. Her favorite
advisor was Nostradamus that predicted her husband’s dead.

She became known as Madame Serpent because of her interest in potions. She killed Henry’s
brother so then he could be the next in line for the French throne. French people repudiate
her because they didn’t want an Italian queen. She had ten children, three of them died and
three of them became kings. Francis I died and they became queen and king.

Her husband died and during the reign of her sons he began o have more power.
This book talks about three main characters. The first is Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin, a man
who had the ability to cure people, predict the future and almost had an immortal live. His
story takes place in Russia. He was hated by most of the people and they tried to kill him
several times until he died from drowning, like his brothers did.

The second is Catherine de Medici. Her story takes place in France. She was the daughter of
the richest and powerful family in Italy, and the plot starts when she marries Henry of Orleans,
the second son of King Francis of France. During the tale we see what she does to preserve the
power, like killing Henry’s older brother.

The last main character is Sweeney Todd. The story takes place in England. The boy, after
committing a theft was arrested and in Newsgate Prison he promised to take vengeance
against society. He left the prison and became a traveler barber. Todd started killing people in
his barber’s shop and throwing them away under the tunnels of the church. Also took the meat
to a bakery to fill the pies. Finally, he was executed.

I recommend this book because is short and light.

Hello, my name is Julia Bonas. I am 15 years old and I live in Vilanova del Vallès, an incredibly
beautiful village situated in the Vallès Occidental and quite near Barcelona. I live with my
family, which is composed by my mother, whose name is Anna, my father, whose name is Santi
and my younger sister Berta. Nowadays I’m studying in the public high school of Vilanova del
Vallès and I’m on the 4th course of ESO.

What I love the most are the motorbikes and classic cars, but I think classic cars are less
impressive than motorbikes. Furthermore, I love going on skateboard, longboard or BMX with
my friends. In my free time I usually go out with my handsome and tall boyfriend. In addition, I
love going to the cinema, in Granollers, with my friends and after the film I like going to have
lunch or dinner at my favorite fast-food restaurant called Foster’s Hollywood.

What I completely dislike is studying because I’m a nervous person and it’s hard for me to get
focused on the studies in general. Also, I hate vegetable but however, in home they make me
eat it. I can’t stand people who tell me what I have to do but I’m trying to change that.

When I was younger, one day my family and I decided to go shopping to the Corte Ingles and
spend the afternoon there.
