Topic: Having a part-time job as a university student (Effect)

Many students work a part-time job to pay for their school needs because they don't want to
take money from their parents.
First of all, part-time students learn how to evaluate their time while working. They become
more planned and disciplined. For instance, I work part-time in a cafe and I plan ahead of
time what time I will be where I will be or what I will do during the day. I like to plan my
days so I spend my time well.
Secondly, you become more confident. For example, you can communicate with a lot of
people and you will learn to be more comfortable around others. And you don't need anyone
because your own money makes you more confident. The most important thing is you may
gain independence, you will be responsible for yourself. According to research conducted by 
Times Higher Education,'' Part-time students gain higher pay, new skills, and greater
responsibilities in the workplace.''
İn addition, you can earn your own money. According to Joanna Zambas (zambas, 2021),‘’
Being a student usually means little or no money.’’ That's why we need to work part-time. For
example, you can go out with your friend or we can buy our own needs without asking our
family for money.
In conclusion, working part-time gives you a lot of things. We learn to manage our time, we
become more self-confident when talking to people and we don't need to take money from our
family because you start to earn your own money. Lastly, my recommendation is to try to
work part-time or full-time somewhere. Thus, you will realize that many things have changed
in your life, for example, you will have new experiences, you will meet many people, you will
mature faster and your perspective on life will begin to change.
