Instruction:
1. Enumerate AND describe the four consistency principles. Use the designated column for
the said items.
2. Give examples of situations that violate the basic consistency principles; two examples
for each principle. Use the two cells allotted for each principle: one example for each
cell.
CONSISTENCY DESCRIPTION
PRINCIPLE
1. Consistency in Our beliefs should be
beliefs (logicality) logically consistent, we
should not accept
incompatible beliefs. Being
logically consistent means
that the statement is true
all the time.
2. End-means This means that we must
consistency maintain the balance
between our methods and
our goals.
3. Conscientiousness ”Practice what you preach”
his asserts that we should
always act in a way that is
consistent with our
personal principles.
4. Impartiality This means that regardless
of who is engaged, it is
necessary that we form
equal views regarding
similar actions.
EXAMPLE
1. All dogs are white (violation
because not all dogs are
white)
2. All men have beards
(violation because not all
men have beards)
1. You want a change in the
government but you did not
vote.
2. You want to be an honor
student but you are not
studying.
1. You hate corruption, but you
yourself is engaged in a
corrupt business.
2. You like calling out people for
throwing their trash on the
streets, but you are also
doing it.

is racist but you tolerate it
when your idols is the one
making a racist remarks.

are a supporter of a criminal
politician.
