ANTHROPOMETRIC MEASUREMENT

Learning Outcome:

1. Define the different anthropometric measurements.

2. Using your own stature height, estimate the different anthropometric measurements.
3. Select an additional three anthropometric measurements from your classmate, and be able
to compare the results.

Procedure:

1. Label the figure (linear anthropometric dimensions).

2. Using your own height, estimate the different body parts or body segments.
3. Ask three of your classmate about their anthropometric measurement. (consider your
gender, do not mix it to avoid sex variation)
4. Compare the results, using the standard deviation.
5. Formulate conclusion based learning outcome #3.

Linear Anthropometric Dimensions:

Conclusion:

Upon conducting the laboratory activity, I have observed that the standard deviation of each
anthropometric measurement given a population of four is low. This means that when you plot the data, the
data points are close to the mean. The higher the standard deviation, the more spread out the data will
become when you plot it. It can also be seen in the data that the anthropometric measurements of each
student (all female) do not go far from each other. There are no male participants included in this activity in
order to avoid sex variation.
