1. PLANNING INFORMATION

CAUTION

THIS ALERT SERVICE BULLETIN WAS DRAWN UP


BASED ON THE ORIGINAL HELICOPTER
CONFIGURATION (AS DEFINED IN THE AIRCRAFT
INDIVIDUAL INSPECTION LOG BOOK (RIC)). IT
TAKES INTO ACCOUNT AIRBUS HELICOPTERS-
APPROVED CONFIGURATION CHANGES MADE
AFTER DELIVERY, PROVIDED THAT AIRBUS
HELICOPTERS HAS BEEN ADVISED THEREOF. IT
DEVOLVES ON THE OPERATOR TO CHECK THE
COMPATIBILITY OF ANY MODIFICATIONS WITH
THE CURRENT HELICOPTER CONFIGURATION. IN
CASE OF INCOMPATIBILITY, IT DEVOLVES ON
THE OPERATOR TO DESIGN THE NECESSARY
ADAPTATIONS AND HAVE THEM APPROVED BY
THE AIR TRANSPORT AUTHORITIES IN THE
CONCERNED COUNTRY, AND TO MAKE SURE OF
AIRWORTHINESS FOLLOW-UP THEREOF.

1.A. EFFECTIVITY

NOTE

Refer to the Individual Inspection Log Book (RIC AMS) to


identify the current modification status of the helicopter.

The purpose of this ALERT SERVICE BULLETIN is to affix labels which indicate that nothing must be
stowed under the energy-absorbing seats.

Compliance with this ALERT SERVICE BULLETIN cancels the instructions given in ALERT SERVICE
BULLETIN No. 01.00.66.

1.D. DESCRIPTION

Compliance with this ALERT SERVICE BULLETIN consists in:


- removing and discarding the labels previously installed when complying with ALERT SERVICE BULLETIN
No. 01.00.66,
- Affix new labels mentioning that nothing is to be stowed under the energy-absorbing seats in the cockpit
and/or in the cabin.

1.E.2. Compliance in service

The work must be performed on the helicopter by the operator.

hours or no later than within 6 months following receipt of this ALERT SERVICE BULLETIN on the date

The information or instructions relate to modification 365V874113.00 which was approved on


December 14, 2018, under the authority of EASA Design Organization Approval No. 21J.700 for
helicopters of civil versions subject to an Airworthiness Certificate.

Approval of this document:

The technical information contained in this ALERT SERVICE BULLETIN Revision 0 was approved on
February 11, 2019 under the authority of EASA Design Organization Approval No. 21J.700 for helicopters of
civil versions subject to an Airworthiness Certificate.

The technical information contained in this ALERT SERVICE BULLETIN Revision 0 was approved on
February 11, 2019 under the prerogatives of the recognition of design capability FRA21J-002-DGA for
French Government helicopters.

1.G. MANPOWER

For compliance with this ALERT SERVICE BULLETIN, Airbus Helicopters recommends the following staff
qualifications:

Qualification: 1 Airframe Technician.

The estimated man-hours are indicated for reference purposes only and based on a standard helicopter
configuration.

Estimated man-hours: 1 hour for the Airframe Technician.

Estimated helicopter downtime is indicated for reference purposes only, based on a standard helicopter
configuration.

Helicopter downtime is estimated at one half-day.

3. ACCOMPLISHMENT INSTRUCTIONS

3.A. GENERAL

- Comply with the general instructions methods for using cleaning products on individual parts and on aircraft
as per Work Card 20-04-01-102 (MTC).
- Apply the general instructions for a helicopter parked in a repair shop as per Work Card
20-07-02-201 (MTC).
- Apply the general instructions when working on an aircraft network as per Work Card 20-07-03-406 (MTC).

3.B. WORK STEPS

3.B.1. Preliminary steps

- Park the helicopter in a hangar.


- Install appropriate access equipment.
- Disconnect all electrical power supplies.

3.B.2. Procedure (Figure 1)

NOTE 1

Only the install on the left side is described. Perform the


install on the right side using the same procedure.

3.B.2.a. Remove the existing labels

- Identify the former labels (not shown) that were previously installed during application of ALERT
SERVICE BULLETIN No. 01.00.66.
- Remove and discard the former labels (not shown).
- Clean the zone.

3.B.2.b. Install new labels in the cockpit (Figure 1)

- Position the label (1) on the console (a).

NOTE 2

The positioning tolerances of the labels (1) are ± 2 mm in X


or Z.

NOTE 3

The label (1) must be positioned at the extremity of the seat


(c) when it is in the maximum forward position.

- Affix the label (1) as per Figure 1, Detail C.

3.B.2.c. Install new labels in the cabin

- Position the label (1) by aligning it with the “EXIT” label (b).

NOTE 4

The positioning tolerances of the labels (1) are ± 2 mm in X


or Z.

NOTE 5

The label (1) must be positioned forward of the “EXIT”


label (b).

- Affix the label (1) as per Figure 1, Detail D.

3.B.3. Final steps

- Connect all the electrical power supplies.


- Clean and restore the work areas and the helicopter as per Work Card 20-07-03-408 (MTC).
- Remove the access equipment.
- Set the helicopter to flight configuration.

3.C. COMPLIANCE CONFIRMATION

Compliance with this document:

Record full compliance with this ALERT SERVICE BULLETIN, with the revision number, in the helicopter
documents.

Tracking of modifications in the documentation:

Record the embodiment of modification 365V874113.00 in the helicopter documents.
