E-JAY CABBAB ONIA

I am E-Jay Cabbab Onia, 18 years of age. I was born on September 5, 2004 in Dupax Del
Sur Nueva Vizcaya. We are two siblings in the family and I am the youngest but taller than my
elder sister, haha. My mother was an OFW at Amman, Jordan and she is from Benito Soliven,
Isabela. On the other hand, my father was died on November 2021. I took my elementary
education at Governor Alfonso Castaneda elementary school (GACES). While, I graduated
Junior High School at Muir Woods Academy. At the present, I am a Grade 12 Senior High
School Student and currently studying in a prestigious school- Saint Mary’s School of Dupax,
Dupax del Sur, Nueva Vizcaya.
As a Senior High School student, it was a great privilege and the best journey that I had
experience in my entire life so far. In addition, I never thought that I was enrolled in a school of a
center of quality of education and Christian development. I have learned a lot of lessons and
discover a lot of things in this school. I had met new friends that became my best buddies. In
fact, I never thought that I am lucky enough to become a Marian, because of this school gives me
confidence to enhance myself and to showcase my talents to everyone.
Furthermore, I love sports and I must say that I am an athletic person. I am attracted in
playing basketball, volleyball and the like. Why? It is simply because, many people have a place
where they can go and be free and be themselves without any implications, a place where they
can just forget about the problems in life. Such a place for me is a basketball court. Before, I just
like watching basketball games but one day, I was not only attracted watching this game but I
also wanted to play the game, to understand the emotions and feelings playing basketball evokes.
I thought that watching basketball games was impressive, but playing it could be much more
interesting.
I must admit that being an athletic person changed my perspective and attitude towards
life. Being part of an athletic world helps me to learn social communication skills and teaches me
endurance, a lot of skills and specially to be confident, to never lose faith in myself and to enjoy
life.
In conclusion, I can say that in my journey being graduating senior high school student, I
never thought that I am surrounded by good people and I am so blessed and lucky enough to
have this kind of skills that I can inspire to other people. In addition, I am happy to have this kind
of life. Like Audrey Hepburn said, “The most important thing is to enjoy your life- to be happy.
It’s all that matters.”
