Interview Questions:

1. How did you become interested in teaching, and what led you to pursue a career in
education?

Ma'am Garcia is unable to pursue higher education due to financial problem, so she has to take
it seriously, as it is the common course in University in Mindanao (UM).

2. Can you describe a typical day in the life of a teacher, and what are some of the challenges
and rewards of the profession?

The teacher encountered a challenge when assigned to Pandan and realized that their students
had limited financial resources, so they had to wait for them to go to school. Some of them even
lived far away, making it difficult to understand their situation.

3. What personal qualities do you think are important for success as a teacher, and how have
you developed these traits over time?

Patience and love for work are essential for success in teaching.

4. How do you balance the demands of your job with your personal life, and what strategies do
you use to maintain a healthy work-life balance?

For her, time management is important.

5. Can you tell me about a particularly memorable teaching experience you’ve had, and how it
impacted you as a teacher and a person?

Ma’am Garcia said when her student asked how she had been.

6. What are some of the biggest challenges you face as a teacher, and how do you cope with
these difficulties?

Ma’am Garcia said she cannot say she’s lucky because she hasn’t encountered the biggest
project or opportunity.

7. What role do you think teachers play in shaping the future of society, and how do you see
your work as a teacher fitting into this larger context?
She said a lot of people will say that teachers aren’t professionals, but for her, teachers have a
bigger role in this society because, for her, they mentor the students on how they become
successful someday.

8. What motivates you to continue teaching, and what keeps you engaged and passionate about
your work?

For her, the only thing that motivates her to continue teaching and being passionate about her
work is her love for her students.
