I. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson the students are expected to:
1. Identify appropriate hand tools and equipment
2. Appreciate the importance knowing the uses and functions of tools and equipment.
3. Classify hand tools and equipment according to function and task requirement

A. Content Standard: The learners demonstrate an understanding of hand tools and equipment in
illustration.
B. Performance Standard: The learners shall be able to use hand tools and equipment in Illustration
C. Learning Competency: Prepare hand tools and equipment in illustration

A. Subject Matter: Grade 7 ILLUSTRATION
B. Topic: Tools and Equipment in Illustration

III. PROCEDURE:

B. Motivation:

C. Presentation:
Discussion:
The teacher will show pictures of different tools and equipment in illustration their
uses and functions. What is the difference between drawing and illustrating?
(Use power point presentation in discussing the lesson)

D. Activity:
The students will classify the tools and equipment if it is traditional tools or digital.
The activity will be presented to the class through power point presentation and they will
also be given a printed picture.

E. Analysis:
What are the software that will help you in creating your artwork?
Can you become an illustrator even though you have no drawing skills at present?

F. Abstraction:
 Does knowing the uses and function of tools and equipment play an important role in
doing your task as an illustrator?
 Do you think knowing the uses and function of tools and equipment affects the
outcome of your artwork?
 Why do we have to select appropriate tools and equipment for the specific job?

G. Application:
The students will use 45 degrees triangle or 30X60 degrees to perform the activity. They will use
the tool to do the task following the given procedure provided by the teacher.
