1. PLANNING INFORMATION
A. Purpose
This Customer Service Notice (CSN) provides instructions per attached Microtecnica
Service Bulletin 21-0018, Revision 1, dated Jan 08/10, to change the Compressor Pallet
Assembly installed on the helicopter from a dual compressor version to a single
compressor version.
Background:
Field reports indicate the possibility of a technical malfunction of the dual version of the
compressor pallet assembly. Investigation reveals that the single version of the compressor
pallet assembly does not have these technical malfunctions.
B. Effectivity
All S-92A helicopters with air conditioning system with 92309-04851-107 dual compressor
pallet assemblies.
C. Description
Helicopter is prepared for maintenance. Air conditioning pallet access door is opened. Air
conditioning system is deserviced of oil and refrigerant. Dual compressor pallet assembly is
removed from helicopter. Wiring is disconnected from No. 2 compressor relay. Air
conditioning system is flushed. Single compressor pallet assembly is installed into
helicopter. Air conditioning system is serviced with oil and refrigerant. Air conditioning pallet
access door is closed and helicopter is returned to service.
D. Compliance
The work outlined herein is recommended to be done at the earliest opportunity where
parts and facilities are available.
E. Approval
The change affected by this document is classified as Minor, and is in accordance with the
applicable requirements of Federal Aviation Regulations FAR 29. Such data submitted by
the TC holder for use on an EU-registered helicopter and related articles are automatically
approved by ED Decision 2004/04/CF, as amended by ED Decision 2007/001/C. Reference
to the ED Decisions mentioned above shall be made in the release documents issued by
the EASA 145 approved organization, releasing the relevant EU-registered helicopter or
component to service.

NOTE: Weight and balance data listed in attached Microtecnica Service Bulletin 21-0018,
Revision 1, dated Jan 08/10 refers to the dry weight of the referenced
components.

3. ACCOMPLISHMENT INSTRUCTIONS
(3) Open air conditioning pallet access door. Reference Maintenance Manual, SA S92A-
AMM-000, Section/Chapter 53-70-00-900-001.
(4) Review and comply with Accomplishment Instructions called out in Microtecnica
Service Bulletin 21-0018, Revision 1, dated Jan 08/10.
(5) Examine components for security. Make sure area is clean and free of foreign
objects.
(6) Close air conditioning pallet access door. Reference Maintenance Manual, SA S92A-
AMM-000, Section/Chapter 53-70-00-900-001.
B. Record of Compliance
(1) Make an appropriate logbook entry to show compliance with this CSN No. 92-063.
(2) Upon compliance with this Customer Service Notice, complete attached SERVICE
NOTICE COMPLIANCE RECORD and return it to Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation.

This Service Bulletin gives the instruction to change the Compressor Pallet Assembly
installed on the helicopter from dual compressor version to single compressor version.
E. Compliance
It is recommended that helicopters be modified at the earliest opportunity where parts
and facilities are available.

3. ACCOMPLISHMENT INSTRUCTIONS
A. Procedure
(1) Deservice the system of oil and refrigerant. Refer to TASK 21-50-00-610-002 and -003.
(2) Remove the Dual Compressor Pallet Assembly (P/N 92309-04851-107,
P/N C154419-1) (Figure 2), refer to TASK 21-54-01-900-001.
(3) Before the reinstallation of the Compressor Pallet Assembly on the helicopter, you must
operate the DTCU and Relay Pallet of the helicopter as follows:
NOTE: If necessary refer to the DTCU and Relay Pallet AMM 21-56-03.
(a) Remove the cap (1, Figure 1) from the K20 compressor relay.
(b) Remove the wire (6) from the pin +X1 (8).
(c) Remove the wire (5) from the pin -X2 (7).
(d) Remove the wire (2) from the pin A2 (9).
(e) Remove the wire (3) from the pin B2 (10).
(f) Remove the wire (4) from the pin C2 (11).
(g) Carefully protect the terminal plugs of the removed wires (2, 3, 4, 5 and 6) with five thermofit
sleeves. Refer to S-92 Wire System Repair Manual SA S92A-WSR-000.
NOTE: If possible, stow the five wires outside the compressor relay box with lacing tape.
(h) Use adhesive tape to secure the five wires (2, 3, 4, 5 and 6) away from the contactor, to
prevent electrical shorts.
(i) Screw alternate thumbnuts to reinstall cover (1) on relay K20.
(4) Flush the Air Conditioning System, refer to TASK 21-50-00-670-001.
