-Create authentic relationships with students through community building practices such as greeting
students at the door, and weekly check-ins.
-Use student relationships and assessments to identify diverse needs of all students.
-Utilize backward design methods connecting students’ lives with content to develop units and lessons.
-Apply Universal Design for Learning UDL strategies to increase access to content for all students.
-Use Substitution, Augmentation, Modification and Redefinition (SAMR) to guide technology use.
-Collaborate with co-workers at grade level, vertically and inter-disciplinary to create curriculum and
assessments to meet the needs of diverse learners.
-Organize and facilitate a group of staff members, certificated and classified, for professional development
around anti-bias/anti-racist work with students.
