classroom, which creates a dynamic and sociable atmosphere. This is ideal for collaborative
learning and boosting social skills. We find a pattern among Dhaka university students that they
are hesitant to attend the class conducted in the morning and if the class is scheduled at 8 A.M then
it’s like a nightmare for them. Keeping late hours is one of the key causes of not attending morning
lessons but there are some other reasons like a section of students are non-residents who live far
from the university campus and traffic jams in Dhaka city make it more difficult to reach class in
time. Despite having a handful of obstacles, the strategy may assist to build an effective class
routine.

Some Strategies to Develop an Effective Class Routine

• Rethink about the morning class schedule: When the morning class concept was established at
the university then there was a scarcity of available classrooms thus the institution opted to adopt
the 8 am to 5 pm routine instead of the 9 am to 4 pm. But today university or department has an
acceptable quantity of the classroom thus class beginning time might be postponed to assure more
students in morning courses.

• Clear norms and boundaries: In Bangladesh, Strick rules bring more outcomes than anything
else. So, setting explicit norms and bounds of minimum % for each student would encourage the
demand of attending courses.

• Rewarding the Most Regular Student: Rewards are typically the greatest method to persuade
somebody to accomplish anything. The pupils with the greatest attendance rates might be rewarded
in public by commending them for their attendance.

• Student-friendly class routine: Ensuring focus in one after another class is challenging for most
students therefore having pauses between classes will enhance attentiveness in class.

• Addressing individual student requirements at the time of developing a class routine.

• Allocating marks on class performance: Many students would eagerly follow the class routine
and accomplish in the class according to whether they obtained marks on class performance.
