LE 18: Grading and Reporting

Analyze
1. What are the teaching implications of the students’ test scores and grades? The students’
test scores and grades are the numerical value of their task performances. This indicates how
well they have performed and exerted their efforts in a specific activity.

2. In what subjects did students perform best? Poorest? There are no other subjects other than
the Araling Panlipunan that I have observed however, I can see students play outside during
their P.E. subject and it is obviously one of the subjects the students find enjoyment in
learning. On the other hand, they find Filipino Subject boring probably because of the time
schedule that triggers everybody to sleep.

3. How was the PTC attendance of parents and guardians? What does this imply? Meetings
between the teacher and parents build a genuine connection for the purpose of improving and
developing the learning environment as a whole. The social connection among them is then
enhanced which makes it accessible for the teacher to connect and report the students’
observed behaviors and academic performances to their respective parents or guardians.

4. What parents/guardians’/comments were most common during Card-Giving Day? There is

a common reaction among parents who are obviously happy with their children’s
performance in school. Priceless smiles are all over their faces and they expressed how
grateful they are to the teacher. On the other hand, some parents seek help from the teacher
on how to let their children improve and develop more.

Reflect
What personal message do I get from these students’ scores, grades, and parents’/ guardians’
PTC attendance and comments? Students must do their best ability to learn and not merely
settle on the average. As much as possible, it is good to soar higher, with the integrity of the
course. It is the only way to at least give back to our dear parents’ sacrifices in sending us to
school. It soothes their mind and hearts upon seeing their children perform well in their studies.

Work on My Artifacts
Compile samples of scoring and grade computation that you did. The tests and
products/portfolios that you score and Students’ Report Card must belong to the same students to
see development. Include snapshots of PTCs and a list of parents’/guardians’ comments during
PTC and how these comments were addressed. –I was so focused during the PTA Meeting
that I was not able to take pictures during and after the event--
