1. Using a calculator, or otherwise, calculate the exact value of

(i) (5.062 + 1.02) x 2.5 to 2.d.p (1 marks)

(ii) ( 3.8+ √ 52.84 ) ÷ 3.75 to 3.s.f (2 marks)

3. Using a calculator, or otherwise, calculate the exact value of

(a) 133 x 0.382, giving your answer as an exact value.

certain week. (2 marks)

4. You are tired at the end of the term and decide to borrow $400 to go on a trip to Whatever Land. You
go to the bank and borrow the money at 9% for 2 years.
a) Find the interest you will pay on the loan. (2 marks)
b) How much will you have to pay the bank at the end of the two years? (3 marks)
