1. Carefully read the test questions to evaluate its compliance to


standards indicated in the criterion under the three (3) parts.
2. Put a check mark () in the appropriate column beside each REMARKS
criterion item. If your answer is No cite specific number of the item, YE NO (If no, write item no./comment)
briefly indicate the error/deficiency observed, and give your S
recommendations in the remark column.
STEM
1. The stems are meaningful and aligned with the competencies.
2. The stems do not contain irrelevant material.
3. The use of negative phrases such as NOT and EXCEPT is avoided.
4. Stem is stated in a question form.
5. Infographics (pictures/graphs/tables) are used for better
visualization.
6. Instructions are clearly stated.
7. The stem does not use extreme words such as NEVER, ALWAYS,
and ONLY.
8. Stems are based on Bloom's taxonomy and arranged according to
the Table of Specifications made.
9. Real-life situations are the bases of the stems.
ALTERNATIVES
1. The alternatives given are all plausible.
2. Uses concise and not too wordy statement in the alternatives.
3. There is no overlapping of alternatives.
4. The alternatives are similar in length.
5. The grammar used is consistent.
6. The statements such as “all of the above” and “none of the above”
are not used.
7. The alternatives are arranged in logical order such as increasing or
decreasing order if numbers, or alphabetical if terminologies, science
terms, names of people and others.
8. Complex multiple choice items are avoided.
9. The alternatives are arranged vertically.

GENERAL GUIDELINES
1. There are no grammatical errors.
2. The stems and alternatives are clear.
3. The test material is pilot tested or counter checked by a colleague
beforehand.
4. There is no violation on the general content of social issue such as
GAD, gender/ethnographic issues and use of commercial brand
names.
5. Patterns in assigning correct answers are avoided.
