Nowadays, due to the popularity of technology and its adverse impact on

children, many people argue that reading storybooks is more beneficial to
children than watching TV programs or playing video games. This essay
supports this position for the following reasons.

On the one hand, both movies and games, which have great influence on
youths, can cause devastating heath issues. As depending on TVs or laptops
for many hours without moving, not only young people but also elder
obviously turn into couch potatoes as well as having trouble about eyes
disease, backs. As a result, these media divides play a vital role in preventing
them from interaction with others or going out for physical exercise.
Additionally, at children’s ages, having absorbed many violence scenes might
impact on shaping their personalities, which leads to violent behavior,
becoming less patience or even like using objects to fight someone.

On the other hand, books are not costly but extremely valuable in comparison
with the others by providing plenty of benefits for several reasons. The first
reason is that it is undeniable that reading is a good hobby have been widely
chosen by famous people and millionaires. For example, Warrant Buffet, one
of the richest people all around the world, estimated that he spent 80% of his
working day reading and thinking. The second reason is that besides
broadening knowledge, intelligence as well as improvement of outlook for
readers, books are also a good teacher for children. Based on the variety
kinds of books, children have many chances to collect the most suitable ones
to be friend which can illuminate their childhood and forming characteristic
themselves.
In conclusion, I once again afrim that engaging in stories from books can
bring more benefits for children than spending time on TV and video
games, because children can gain both educational benefits and great joy
when enjoying book stories.
